For most of us the word Oriental conjures up the far east – China and Japan - but when it comes to rugs the widest variety come from the Middle East, notably the Caucasus, Iran (formerly Persia) and Turkey. Following on from the first talk at Brights of Nettlebed in Wimborne in February Arash will visit the Brights’ branch in Topsham in June but before that you can learn more about the history of oriental rugs at The Edenbridge Galleries on Friday 19th April at 7pm – tickets £12 per person.
